Favorite Scripture: “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”–1 Corinthians 1:27
Testimony:

“A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation.“–Psalm 68:5

It was when I was four years old that my father died and shortly there after, that a Sunday school teacher in a Vallejo California church shared both that verse (Psalm 68:5) and a simple song, “Jesus Loves Me.” By the time I was five years old, I had whole heartedly accepted Jesus. Now, if only my testimony could finish there.

Growing up came with challenges and I cannot say that I was “perfect” for I made many mistakes, but one thing did remain constant, God’s Love and patience with me as I grew older. My mother and I located to Auburn, where I lived for 16 years. During that time I graduated Placer High School and later discovered a “young” pastor who just moved into the area and we began to attend Calvary Chapel Auburn. Little did I know that after a short period in Bible College and traveling back east to Cincinnati where I would continue to grow spiritually, I would have the opportunity to return to Auburn and that church, which the Lord used in giving me direction and encouragement so many years ago…

The space I have been given would indeed be too short to contain all the details of my walk with Christ but if I have one “testimony” it would be one of faithfulness; however, that faithfulness was not of my own, but it belonged to the Lord!
