50′s Plus Ministry « Calvary Auburn

“50’s Plus” is a community of Christians who are 50 years or older and who are members of Calvary Chapel Auburn. Our “50’s Plus” ministry facilitates fellowship and friendship with peers, based upon a common faith in Christ.

We meet four times a year on the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00pm for a potluck, and more!

We believe that the second half of life is the time to hit full stride in our Christian walks.

So, “50’s Plus” is not only a time of fellowship with peers, but also a time to be encouraged in godly vision in the “50’s-Plus-season-of life!”

Below is our “Five-Fold-Full-Stride-Vision” to encourage the members of Calvary Auburn in the second half of life.

(1) Finishing Well

(We are committed to Finishing Well by growing more like Christ in godly character — better rather than bitter. Heb. 12:14-17; John 8:31-32; Phil 3:12-14)

(2) Remembering The Big Picture Of Godly Legacy

(We are committed to pass on to the next generation godly wisdom and our testimony of the faithfulness of God. Duet 6:1-9; Titus 2:3-5)

(3) Believing In The Power Of Prayer For Prodigals

(We believe in the power of prayer and we are committed to pray for “prodigals” who are in need of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Matt 9:37-38; I Tim 2:1-6;

(4) Contributing To The Whole

(We are committed to making a contribution to the vision of the church to “Know Christ and To Make Him Known” – which at the very least means, that we will pray for the church. Eph. 4:16)
